ENGAGE
Show students clips from movies associated with fantasy environments seen in movies. Linked clips are provided if needed.

EXPLORE 
  • Allow students time to explore the descriptions of the planets associated with this project and choose a planet.
  • Give students the website and allow time to collaborate ideas and what they notice with each other. 
  • Students can organize the key environmental elements for each planet that the organisms will have to survive in.

EXPLAIN
  • Discuss with students the project guidelines and rubrics.

EVALUATE

EXTEND
  • Students collaborate with other students who also developed organisms for the same planet. They create a food web based on their organisms. They can create more organisms as needed to fill in the levels of the food web.
